60-second RivenLens tutorial

The normal workflow is only five steps.

1 · Pick or scan

Select a weapon manually, upload a Riven screenshot, or use guided capture.

2 · Confirm

Check the weapon, variant, stats, values, rank, MR, polarity, and rerolls. Correct anything the scanner missed.

3 · Grade

Run the grader to measure roll strength and how well the stat package fits the selected weapon.

4 · Desired Stats

Open the curated weapon profile. No Riven stats required; entered stats simply add highlighting and roll comparison.

5 · Price

Use Price this Riven after grading to review current market evidence and the suggested sale ranges.

You can use RivenLens before you own the Riven. Select a weapon and open Desired Stats to plan rolls or evaluate what stats you should look for.
2

Using the grader

The grader evaluates the actual Riven shape and the selected weapon rather than treating every stat the same on every weapon.

  1. Select the correct weapon and variant.
  2. Enter two or three positive stats and the curse when the Riven has one.
  3. Enter the displayed stat values and other card metadata as accurately as possible.
  4. Run the grade and review both the numerical roll result and the weapon-specific build/market result.
Weapon-specific matters. A stat that is premium on one weapon can be mediocre on another. Some normally undesirable negatives can also become useful on weapons with special mechanics or Incarnon evolutions.
3

Desired Stats

Desired Stats is the fastest way to see the hand-reviewed profile for the weapon you selected.

No Riven stats required

Select a weapon or variant and tap Desired Stats. The curated profile can load before you enter any positives, values, or curse.

Your roll becomes an overlay

If you have entered Riven stats, RivenLens highlights them and can calculate the current roll's profile match without making those inputs a prerequisite.

How to read the profile

S · Best-in-slotA · Strong alternativesB · Useful / situational

The curse section separately identifies ideal negatives, acceptable negatives, and negatives to avoid. Synergy packages show combinations that work especially well together.

Variant-aware: When a specific Prime, Incarnon, adversary, or other variant has different priorities, the profile can resolve to that variant instead of falling back to only the weapon family.
4

Understand the two grades

RivenLens deliberately separates raw numerical strength from weapon-specific usefulness.

Roll Grade

How strongly the Riven's values rolled compared with the legal range for that Riven shape and disposition.

Build / Market Grade

How useful, synergistic, and desirable the stat combination is for that specific weapon and typical builds.

A high Roll Grade does not automatically mean high market value. Likewise, an excellent stat combination can be desirable even when its individual values did not roll at their absolute ceiling.

5

Pricing a Riven

Use Price this Riven after the Riven has been graded. Pricing is market-informed guidance, not a guaranteed sale price.

Quick sale

A lower asking range aimed at attracting buyers sooner.

Fair market

A balanced range based on the available market evidence and roll context.

Patient sale

A higher range for sellers willing to wait for the right buyer.

Why confidence matters

Rivens are unique and some combinations have very little comparable market evidence. Thin samples, unusual rolls, seller concentration, and fast market movement can all make a range less certain.

Do not read an estimate as a promise. A listing is an asking price, not proof that a buyer will pay it. Current demand and negotiation can move the final trade in either direction.

Why did RivenLens give me this result?

Think of RivenLens as an explanation layer, not just a letter grade or platinum number.

Why this grade?

Check the Roll Grade for numerical strength, then compare each stat against Desired Stats. Weapon-specific positives, curses, synergies, variant rules, and special mechanics can all affect the build/market evaluation.

Why this price?

Look at the market evidence, the selected comparable cohort, the current roll's desirability, and the displayed confidence. Pricing is not a simple formula where a particular letter grade always equals a fixed platinum value.

Why two similar Rivens differ

Small differences can matter: exact variant, curse, stat combination, roll quality, rerolls, available comparables, and market conditions may not be identical.

6

Scanner & OCR

Image recognition saves time, but you should always verify the extracted card before grading.

  • Show the complete Riven card and keep it sharp and unobstructed.
  • Confirm the weapon family and exact variant.
  • Check every positive/negative sign and every percentage value.
  • Confirm mod rank, Mastery Rank requirement, polarity, and reroll count when shown.
  • Correct any scanner mistake before grading or pricing.
Useful OCR report: tell us what RivenLens read, what the screenshot actually shows, and attach the image when the feedback flow allows it.
7

Export cards

Use the available result cards when you want to save or share an analysis.

  • Full Summary Card: combines the major grading, stat, and pricing information.
  • Screenshot Analysis Card: keeps the original Riven image central to the analysis.
  • Check the generated card before sharing it, especially on mobile where cropping and saved-image dimensions can vary.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the questions most likely to come up while grading, pricing, and learning Rivens.

Using RivenLens

Can I use Desired Stats without owning a Riven?

Yes. Select the weapon or exact variant and open Desired Stats. No Riven stats are required.

Can I manually correct a scan?

Yes. Scanner output should be treated as editable input. Correct the weapon, stats, values, metadata, or rerolls before grading.

Can I grade a Riven that is not fully ranked?

Yes when the grader has the rank information it needs. Make sure the displayed rank and values match the card so RivenLens does not interpret a partially ranked mod as a max-rank roll.

Grades

Does an S or A grade automatically mean the Riven is expensive?

No. Grade and market value are related but not interchangeable. Weapon demand, exact stats, curse, roll strength, and current market evidence also matter.

Why can two similar Rivens receive different grades?

The exact weapon variant, stat legality, stat tiers, curse, numerical roll quality, and weapon-specific synergies can differ even when two cards look similar at first glance.

Why can a negative stat be considered good?

A curse can be beneficial when its downside has little practical effect on that weapon. Some weapons also have special mechanics where a normally negative stat can interact differently. Desired Stats is where those weapon-specific exceptions are surfaced.

How are Incarnon weapons handled?

When an Incarnon or evolution materially changes what the weapon wants, the curated profile can account for that weapon-specific behavior rather than applying a generic class rule.

Pricing

Is the displayed price guaranteed?

No. It is an estimate based on the available evidence and the Riven's context. Actual trades depend on demand, negotiation, timing, and the buyer.

Why can the estimate change?

Market evidence changes. New listings, completed activity, weapon demand, game updates, and changes to the comparable cohort can all move an estimate.

What if there are very few comparable Rivens?

Treat the estimate with more caution. RivenLens surfaces confidence because a thin market cannot support the same certainty as a deeper pool of close comparables.

Data & accuracy

What happens when a new weapon or variant releases?

RivenLens needs authoritative weapon/catalog information plus a reviewed desirability profile before the newest content can receive the same depth of analysis as established weapons.

What should I do if the weapon or stat was recognized incorrectly?

Correct it before grading, then report the recognition problem with the original image and the expected result when possible.

Is RivenLens affiliated with Digital Extremes or Warframe.market?

No. RivenLens is an independent tool. Warframe and related names belong to their respective rights holders, and third-party market information remains subject to the source's own terms and availability.

Web App

Do I need the App Store or Google Play?

No. RivenLens can be installed directly from the browser as a Web App.

Will the installed Web App update?

Yes. Because it is still RivenLens on the web, new site releases are delivered when you open it. You do not need to manually download each website update.

Does installing it make RivenLens work offline?

No. The installed experience removes normal browser chrome and gives you a Home Screen/launcher icon, but live grading dependencies, market data, and account features still require an internet connection.
